• Website backup – Daily, a fresh copy each time (not overwriting the prior night’s copy), with an archive of 5-7 days, on the host’s server.
• Access to all the files and databases – usually through something like a cPanel.
• Full writing permissions – On computer file systems, different files and directories have permissions that specify who and what can read, write, modify, and access them.
• 24/7 Support – Whether you’re working in your website on a Thursday evening at 6 o’clock, weekend afternoon, or  Tuesday morning at 3 AM, you want tech support there for you. Period.

Using a website host with the aforementioned will save you a lot of agita down the road, especially when it’s the most inopportune time.
